Our second day

We had a great and busy day! We heard a  research report on finding a new medicine to stop hemmoragge. It was worth-wile to understand how basic research is structured in US. During your work you do reports not only when you had done everything, but also during it. It helps you to critically analise it, listen to your colleagues advices.
After we had an opportunity to see a Training facilities for surgeons with simulators for laparoscopic operations, endoscopical procedures, operation rooms where they can improve their skills on animals. There was also an 3D printer for making different models to try to do thyroid and other organ biopsy, tracheostomy etc.
Mannequin who talks, answers questions, you can give him drugs, do infusion etc.
Let's safe his life
The room has everything like in real ICU

After that we visited ICU department. The hospital wards equipped in a way that a patient's relative could stay overnight with sleeping place on special armchair.
On each entrance to the ward you see this sign and antiseptic, not only in ICU
Then we met with the current President of Endocrine Society Dr.Theresa Woodruff. It was a great honour for us. The main aim of Dr.Woodruff research team is preserving reproductive function of a women and men with different cancer. We were showed how work in her laboratory is organized.
